Quality, Health & Safety and
Environment

In-Line Safety has been supporting DC Roofing and Construction Ltd since its conception. We have also worked closely over the past 20 years in other operations within the construction industry.

The In Line Safety team of highly professional health and safety consultants are assisting in ensuring DC Roofing and Construction does not only comply with current regulations but exceeds them. DC Roofing and Construction has a prized and discerning client base, and their requirements for the highest standards in Health and Safety are never more prevalent than when dealing with roofing and fire projects in primary and secondary schools around the southeast.

DC Roofing and Construction also work extensively within the private healthcare markets, with some quite vulnerable service users. Therefore the site health and safety and security is crucial within these working environments. In Line Safety’s support and expertise in this market place is proving invaluable.

In-Line Safety has helped with the development of all the ‘backbone’ policies that form the structural framework that DC Roofing and Construction continue to achieve year after year. Whether this is the general Health and Safety policy to ensure all of their employees, workers, subcontractors and management team carry out their duties safely and professionally, and return home from work at the end of the day; or, assisting them with Environmental, Equality, Diversity, Anti-bribery and Corruption and Harassment and Discrimination policies.

As their health and safety partner, In Line Safety also ensures they comply fully with their client’s requirements when applying for and completing tender documents and will also guide and advise on specific areas that apply to certain customers, their specific industries and their area of operation. In Line Safety also assists in gaining the correct accreditations from organisations such as Safecontractor, CHAS and Constructionline, all of which are part of the government’s SSIP (Safe Systems in Procurement) programme.

In Line Safety ensures that all of their site paperwork is accurate, relevant and succinct. This includes preparing all of the pre-construction information and advising on risk assessments, method statements, COSH reports and environmental concerns. They also prepare and deliver the working copy of their Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan (CPHaSP). During the construction process In Line Safety has the autonomy to attend the site at any time to carry out unannounced site inspections. This includes all aspects of the project, from compliance with the CDM 2015 regulations to the quality of workmanship and general site cleanliness. We deliver a pictorial report back to DC Roofing and Construction and his team not only with our findings and concerns but also what we have found that is good practice too. Praise goes a long way when things are going well.

In-Line Safety is also involved in running, managing and delivering a ‘Perfect Site Competition’ for all of DC Roofing and Construction’s labour force. In brief, this is an incentive scheme to encourage best practices in all site disciplines and reward people who continually get it right.

In-Line Safety’s Health and Safety officers are all P402 trained in Asbestos Management and sampling. This gives us the ability to manage all the Asbestos R & D (Refurbishment and Development) surveys prior to their commencing on-site.

Finally, every year, In Line Safety’s senior management team sits down with the board of DC Roofing and Construction for their annual review of ALL Health and Safety matters. The law requires employers to monitor and review arrangements for managing occupational safety and health (OSH) risk. We then generate an annual report which is signed off by the CEO.
